Paul Shamplina

Founder of Landlord Action | Brand Ambassador - Hamilton Fraser

Paul Shamplina founded Landlord Action in 1999. Regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the company has helped Landlords and Letting Agents deal with problem tenants - and has dealt with over 35,000 cases.  He’s been helping landlords for over 25 years and is a landlord himself.

Paul has acquired a reputation as “The Landlord’s Friend”. In 2015 he co-wrote a book for landlords and has a new edition for 2019 on sale at the show on Stand 163. He regularly appears in the press on TV and radio -  and is the star of Channel 5’s hit series ‘Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords’, Bad Tenants, Rogue Landlords, the new series is out this summer.  Paul also co-hosted the ‘The Property Hour’ with Clive Bull on LBC Radio.

Paul is also Director and Brand Ambassador of Hamilton Fraser - which owns the brands Mydeposits, The Property Redress Scheme, Client Money Protect, Total Landlord Insurance, Landlord Zone and Tenant Verify.

Kate Faulkner

Kate Faulkner, Bsc ( Econ), MBA DipM, CIM is one of the UK’s leading property experts. She is passionate that most of the problems in the residential property market can be solved if the media, industry and government worked together to educate consumers on how to carry out property projects.

To aid this, Kate has set up a free consumer site (propertychecklists.co.uk) and working groups for homebuying and selling and The Lettings Industry Council.

Kate regularly features on BBC TV and radio including You and Yours, Moneybox and 5Live’s Midnight Property Expert as well as LBC’s Property Hour and on ITV’s This Morning.  She earns her money mainly through consulting projects with the industry.

Mike Bristow

Merilee Karr

Founder & CEO | UnderTheDoormat

Merilee founded UnderTheDoormat in July 2014 after a decade-long successful career at oil and gas giant Shell. The inspiration for establishing the company came from her own travelling experiences in 70 different countries.

As the elected Chair for the newly formed industry body, STAA, she is passionate about helping professionalize and grow the industry in the most responsible way.
