The growing popularity of Airbnb and other Short-term accommodation providers

... what are the specific opportunities for property investors?

... what are the risks and how can you be prepared to avoid them?

... how can you get the benefits and ensure you are compliant at the same time?

This session will cover the possible opportunities and do’s and don’ts for investors who want to learn about how short lets can benefit their property portfolios, large or small.  It will cover the specific opportunities the sector can provide and how this can complement activities you already do as a property investor with a portfolio of AST's to help you maximise your yield at a time when margins are under pressure from tax changes and the market.  They will cover everything from insurance to the legal environment as well as outlining specific case studies where landlords have seen yield improvements from short-lets.  Expect a spirited debate and walk away with a better understanding of what this means for you as a property investor.

Merilee Karr, Founder of UnderTheDoormat and Chairperson for the Industry body, the Short-Term Accommodation Association is joined by a team of sector experts to discuss and debate the challenges and opportunities for landlords who want to benefit from this increasingly important sector.
