Although it will still take some time to actually leave the EU, we have a much clearer picture of which direction of travel the UK is heading.

With a new majority government in place for the next five years, a Queens Speech under our belt as well as a manifesto to draw from and the latest property forecasts now out, we do have a much better of idea of what landlords and property investors will need to be aware of over the next five years.

Find out about our expert panel’s worries and fears and, bring your own questions to test their knowledge and seek answers to property questions which are currently on your mind.

Panel Chair Kate Faulkner is joined by an expert panel that includes David Cox (ARLA), Eddie Hooker (Hamilton Fraser), Vanessa Warwick (Property Tribes) and Russell Quirk.

Speaker Profiles

Kate Faulkner

Kate Faulkner, Bsc ( Econ), MBA DipM, CIM is one of the UK’s leading property experts. She is passionate that most of the problems in the residential property market can be solved if the media, industry and government worked together to educate consumers on how to carry out property projects.

To aid this, Kate has set up a free consumer site (propertychecklists.co.uk) and working groups for homebuying and selling and The Lettings Industry Council.

Kate regularly features on BBC TV and radio including You and Yours, Moneybox and 5Live’s Midnight Property Expert as well as LBC’s Property Hour and on ITV’s This Morning.  She earns her money mainly through consulting projects with the industry.

Vanessa Warwick

Vanessa Warwick is a full time residential Landlord and co-founder of Property Tribes, the U.K.'s busiest Landlord and investor community, ranked in the top 2,000 busiest websites in the U.K. Vanessa & her husband Nick started investing in property in 2004 and have a portfolio of flats in North London, family houses in the South East, and two south coast holiday lets. A former TV Presenter, Vanessa also presents many property related videos & event coverage reports for a variety of property media.

Nick & Vanessa formed Property Tribes as a place where Landlords could network, learn, share, and grow their businesses in a professional and respectful environment. The non-sales agenda of Property Tribes ensures authentic discussion and many of the U.K.'s top Landlords and investors are members and share their knowledge.

Russell Quirk

Russell Quirk is well known in the property industry as both an estate agency boss and PR guru.

He’s been round the block a few times having run traditional and online businesses in the sector for over 25 years and is infamous for his opinionated and straight-talking stance on anything and everything property. He takes no prisoners.

He’s a regular pundit on housing matters for TalkRADIO, LBC and the BBC and is a founder panellist for TalkRADIO’s 'Plank of the Week’ on YouTube, a wry critique of media types that "are just asking to have fun poked at them", says Russell.
