Getting into Property Development – Ask the experts
It’s no surprise that an increasing number of BTL landlords are re-thinking their strategies and turning to property development as a means to ‘manufacture profit’ instead of accepting diminishing returns.
At this session you can quiz our panel of experts on how to get started, plot finding, planning, architectural design, project management, development finance, joint ventures and lots more.
This session will be chaired by John Corey. John will be joined by Christopher Whitehouse of Nextphase Developments, Ritchie Clapson of PropertyCEO, Paul Watson of Blend Network and experienced developer John Howard.
John is a multi-national real estate investor; USA and UK; Hawaii to Bradford; 30+ years of experience as a landlord. John comes from Silicon Valley where he worked for a number of seminal projects which define your technology world today. As example, his direct boss was Steve Jobs and a friend started LinkedIn so John was a beta tester. John moved to London when he started working for investment banks.
More recently, John has been active with crowd funding and understanding FCA regulations which apply when promoting property investments.
Christopher Whitehouse is a Chartered Planning & Development Surveyor, Planning Expert Witness and Managing Director of UK planning and development practice NextPhase. He won the RICS Young Planning Surveyor of the Year in 2014 and is one of the youngest people in the UK to become an RICS Accredited Expert Witness.

A business coach and strategist, he built up one of the country’s leading structural engineering firms and was appointed by the government as peer review engineer for the London 2012 Olympic Stadium.
Today Ritchie and his business partner Ian Child head up propertyCEO, one of the country’s most exclusive property development training companies.

His proficiency stems from the sale and purchase of over 3,500 properties - and his latest acquisition is a £26 million development funded by Homes England.
